The Wandering exhibition took place at the Chapel Gallery in Ormskirk, opening in September 2017 for eight weeks. It featured the work of ten UK artists who share a fascination with the natural environment and included four of my digital collages from a series called 'New Life'.
The series was inspired by the strange and often beautiful forms, colours and textures of the many varieties of fungi as they erupt into life. Fungi are more closely related to animals than plants and perform a vital role in the Earth's eco-systems by breaking down and recycling dead matter. My aim was to capture a sense of regeneration and renewal that is an on-going process in the nature of life.
